Best Do's and Don'ts of Weight Loss

Every year millions of people try and lose weight. And every year only a small percentage of the people that set out to lose weight are successful. It's not because their intentions are bad, it's because they're mis-informed on how to properly lose weight.


I would like to open up my weight loss rules book and share with you the tactics you need to start your weight loss journey.


The first do of losing weight is eating healthy. The reason I say this is because it's possible to lose a fair amount of weight just by changing up your diet a little. When I say diet I am talking about what you are eating, not about starving yourself.


Eating the right foods can automatically jump start your metabolism and instantly slash a few pounds off of your belly in just a couple of days.


The next do is exercise. I prefer finding a gym membership for $20 to $30 per month. You can easily afford a membership just by not going out to eat a couple of times per week. You can try and lose weight at home but it's very difficult to be motivated.


Your brain doesn't associate your home as a gym. This is why it's difficult to get on the treadmill over in the corner. Exercise is what gives you the body you want. This is how you develop the muscle tone that the world's most beautiful people have. You'll need a combination of weight training and cardio to get the body of your dreams.


Now let's talk about the don't of weight loss. The first don't is to not starve yourself. If you begin to starve yourself you'll eventually go on to binge later on. This is why it's important to eat 6 small meals each day. Think about how nice it is that you get to eat more frequently.


The second don't of weight loss is cheating too often. Of course it seems nice to reward yourself with cheesecake after you've eaten all of your healthy meals throughout the day. But this could ruin all of the gains you've made. I usually cheat on Saturday night when it's nearly impossible to avoid going out to eat.
